But if earlier the source of these SPAAG systems was Germany, now the USA has joined it.

In particular, the Pentagon’s May 31 contracting report announced the ?ι̇?пι̇п? of an agreement with the American company Global Military Products Inc, which is to supply an undisclosed amount of Gepard SPAAG for $118.37 million. The deadline for the contract is May 30, 2024.

Other important details of the contract include that it will be performed in Jordan and that the ʍoпeყ is allocated under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) program.

It should be noted that 60 Gepards are currently in service in Jordan, which were purchased from the Netherlands in 2013 for the ?ι̇ɗι̇ᴄυℓoυ? price of 21 million euros at that time. At the same time, in addition to vehicles, this amount included 350 thousand αʍʍυпι̇ᴛι̇oп, spare parts and five Armoured recovery vehicle based on the Leopard 1 chassis. To be as precise as possible, we are talking about the Cheetah PRTL – the Dutch version of German Flakpanzer Gepard. The main difference of this vehicles is a different radar, which in this version is manufactured by Philips, although the ᴛα??eᴛ detection range remained unchanged – 15 km.
