Renowned global land systems manufacturer, Otokar, is making its inaugural appearance at the World Defense Show (WDS) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from February 4-8, 2024. Over the course of the 5-day event, Otokar will showcase its extensive array of armored platforms and capabilities at two distinct booths – Hall 1 B4 indoor and Courtyard CY-7 outdoor.

General Manager Serdar Görgüç emphasized Otokar’s strong presence in the global defense market, with over 33,000 military vehicles serving in more than 40 countries across five continents. He highlighted the significance of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as a key market and expressed Otokar’s commitment to providing efficient land systems solutions and services.

Otokar’s subsidiary, ‘Otokar Land Systems,’ established in 2016, has played a crucial role in strengthening ties with GCC countries. The company’s focus on technology transfer, local production, and collaboration has positioned Otokar as a leader in the global defense industry.

TULPAR-S Amphibious Tracked Armored Personnel Carrier: Displayed with a 7.62 mm Turret, TULPAR-S is an amphibious light tracked vehicle offering a versatile platform for mission-specific variants, including Infantry Fighting Vehicle, APC, Armored Weapon Carrier, Maintenance and Recovery Vehicle, Command & Control, Ambulance, and Reconnaissance Vehicle.

ARMA 8×8 Wheeled Armored Vehicle: Otokar showcases two distinct variants of the ARMA 8×8 at WDS—one equipped with the 30mm MIZRAK Turret and the other with the John Cockerill 105mm turret. The combat-proven ARMA 8×8 is a modular platform with amphibious capabilities designed for diverse missions. Meeting the requirements of modern armies in terms of survivability, protection level, and mobility, ARMA 8×8 features a low silhouette, spacious interiors, and the ability to integrate various mission equipment and weapon systems up to 120mm. Suited for Command and Control, Engineering, Ambulance, Recovery, Support, and similar missions.

COBRA II MRAP: The COBRA II Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle is presented with a 25mm RCWS at WDS, emphasizing its high survivability in risky environments. Providing superior protection against kinetic energy, mines, and IED threats, the COBRA II maintains high cross-country mobility with an independent suspension system. Noteworthy for its reliability and ease of maintenance, the modular design allows for the integration of weapon systems and mission equipment, accommodating up to 11 personnel in configurations tailored to specific user requirements.

COBRA II Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle: Otokar introduces the COBRA II with two turret options—a 12.7mm RCWS and a 12.7mm MIZRAK Closed Turret. Globally recognized, COBRA II offers high levels of protection, payload capacity, and internal volume. With exceptional mobility and protection against ballistic, mine, and IED threats, COBRA II’s high power-to-weight ratio ensures outstanding performance. Deployed by various armies worldwide in diverse terrains and climates, it serves border protection, internal security, and peacekeeping missions. Next-Generation Modular Armored Vehicle: AKREP II Otokar showcases the AKREP II with a John Cockerill 90mm turret at WDS. Evolving from the initial AKREP developed in the 1990s, AKREP II is designed as an armored reconnaissance and surveillance vehicle with a large caliber weapons platform. Combining high firepower and survivability in a low silhouette, AKREP II accommodates turrets up to 90mm cannon, offering superior maneuverability with a four-wheel drive system and steerable rear axle.
