Amphibious domіпапсe Unveiled: Global Debut of сᴜttіпɡ-edɡe Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) ѕteаɩѕ the Spotlight at FEINDEF in Madrid

BAE Systems and Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) celebrated the international debut of the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) at the FEINDEF international defense and security exhibition in Madrid. The ACV family of vehicles, developed and delivered by the strategic partnership between BAE Systems and IDV, supports the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) expeditionary mobility capabilities and is the only truly full-rate amphibious combat vehicle in full-rate production today. The vehicle on display at FEINDEF is the personnel variant (ACV-P), the baseline platform for the family of vehicles.

The amphibious platform was designed to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of modern militaries, incorporating features such as reconnaissance, electronic warfare, anti-air, and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems integration. The ACV-P offers the versatility needed to rapidly adapt to mission requirements, enabling swift deployment in diverse operational environments, including reconnaissance, amphibious assault, and urban warfare. Its modular design allows for easy integration of new technologies and capabilities, such as reconnaissance sensors, electronic warfare systems, and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems.

The showcased ACV-P at FEINDEF embodies the pinnacle of performance for the family of vehicles, addressing the military’s evolving needs by incorporating advanced technologies and ensuring mission success across a spectrum of operational scenarios.

Jointly, BAE Systems and Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) are proud to present this critical next-generation amphibious capability that meets the missions and program requirements of the Infantería de Marina Española. Together, we are ready to respond to any international customization requests to ensure the optimal deployment of the amphibious vehicles within the Spanish and European defense system,” said Nazario Biagini, Head of Sales at IDV

“This marks the first occasion that the Amphibious Combat Vehicle has been showcased outside the United States, and it is a point of pride that its debut is here in Spain, an important, long-term U.S. and NATO ally,” said Garrett LaCaille, Vice President of Amphibious Programs at BAE Systems.

Featuring its modular design, the Amphibious Combat Vehicle is ready to provide Marines around the world the flexibility to address the wide range of challenges and integrate future technologies. The ACV-P is fully operational, capable of carrying 13 fully equipped Marines, along with a crew of three, for amphibious assaults and maneuvers, adapting seamlessly to diverse mission roles and battlefield conditions.

The ACV Command and Control variant provides multiple workstations for Marines to maintain and manage situational awareness in the battlespace. The ACV incorporates advanced features such as field support, maintenance, and recovery tailored to the Amphibious Combat Vehicle family of vehicles. The ACV-30 mounts a stabilized, medium caliber Remote Turret System manufactured by Kongsberg that enhances lethality and protection for Marine units while enabling agile response in challenging and potentially hostile environments.
