Beautiful Images Capture Lorio’s Wonderful Birth Moment At Home.

Have you ever wondered what a home birth is like? I mean if you have had one or witnessed one of course. If you have, now you can see the beautiful uncensored messy reality of it all. Ruth Iorio is a writer in Los Angeles, who decided to live tweet, live Facebook, and live Instagram her home birth using the hashtag ruthshomebirth. The pictures are raw, beautiful, and touching.

She went into labor on December 25 at around 8:15 p.m. After about 12 hours of excruciating labor her son, Nye, was born at home, but Iorio had to be transferred to the hospital because her placenta would not detach. You’ve got to see this pictures she shared.

Cheers to home birth!

Not everyone approved of Ruth sharing her birth experience online. One person wrote, “its a beautiful and wonderful experience to have a child but seriously to put it on social networks and with a pic like this one is crazy…and it disgusts me cuz this is something u should only share with ur husband!! ewww! then people wonder why there are so many perverted men out there!” I disagree and let’s not blame Ruth for other people’s perversions.

It’s not over

Iorio’s placenta would not detach so she had to be taken to the hospital where she receieved a blood transfusion because she lost so much blood and after a drug-free birth she was all doped up.
