THIS is the moment a greedy python devoured a huge nilgai calf before SPITTING it back out.
Villagers travelling to the nearby jungle to collect wood could not believe their eyes when they suddenly found a gigantic python in the middle of its meal.
They soon realised this was no ordinary feast with the snake in the process of swallowing a newborn nilgai – otherwise known as a blue bull.
The shocking footage was filmed in Gorakhpur in India.
The nilgai are the largest Asian antelope, usually standing up to one and a half metres tall and weighing anything between 240-635lbs.
Unfortunately for this particular baby, pythons are often able to kill and swallow animals that are much larger than their heads.
Usually found in places like Africa, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and China, the nonvenomous snakes can sometimes grow to over 30 feet in length.
They use their backward-curving teeth to grasp the prey and restrain it before wrapping a number of coils around it to cause asphyxiation.
Their jaws can then separate in four directions allowing them to swallow the largest of creatures whole.
However on this occasion, it seems as though the python had taken on more than it could manage by conducting the entire killing process before struggling to swallow the body.
The villagers were able to claw the remains of the nilgai corpse from its mouth just as it seemed to spit half of it back out.
